1皿単位での追加注文も可能な店が多い。蕎麦は実を丸引きしており、色は茶褐色である。徳利に入ったダシと、薬味として刻みネギ・おろし大根・おろしワサビ・トロロ・生鶏卵1個などが出される。わさびはおろさずに出てきて客が自分でおろすようになっている場合もある。蕎麦猪口にダシと薬味を好み分入れ蕎麦を浸して食する。
